Women's Convertible Pants in an Expedition-Tested Design:

• BUGTech®+ Stretch Collection products fabric is lightweight, technical, micro-ripstop fabric with high-performance features. These include built-in anti-insect treatment, UPF50+ sun protection, moisture wicking and quick drying properties, and slight stretch for added comfort. 
• Zip-off legs to convert trousers into shorts (and back to longs) by simply zipping and unzipping.
• Converts into three-quarters by rolling up the trouser legs and securing with the internal button and tab.
• Adjustable elasticated waistband with a drawstring, button and zip closure, and belt loops.  
• Two hand pockets.
• Two zipped cargo pockets on the shorts section of the trousers. Pocket flap with a tab for easy access.
• Two decorative slit pockets on the back of the trousers as a style accent.

Insect repellent BUGTech+ Collection:

• The insect repellent feature of our BUGTech+ Collection is powered by a proprietary EPA-registered Insect Shield® finish.
• The Insect Shield® formula is bonded tightly to our fibers of our BUGTech+ products - resulting in effective, odorless insect protection that lasts the expected lifetime of apparel. Insect Shield's insect repellent treatment has no smell, leaves no sticky residue, and does not absorb into your skin. You won't be able to tell that it is there, but the bugs will be able to tell.
• Insect Shield® finish on BUGTech+ products is registered to last up to 70 washes.
• Insect Shield® has been proven and registered to repel mosquitoes, ticks, ants, flies, chiggers, and midges (no-see-ums).
• In addition to the insect repellent finish we apply to our BUGTech+ products, the unique woven construction of BUGTech+ fabric also offers a high level of protection against mosquitoes as it is not easy for mosquitoes to bite through the fabric. This further enhances the insect repellent qualities of BUGTech+ collection.

Sun Protection:

• The BUGTech+ Stretch Collection has UPF50+ sun protection built into the fabric in two ways: The physical woven construction of the BUGTech+ product fabric provides a high level of protection from the sun. We then apply a further UPF50+ finish to the BUGTech+ product fabric to double down on the sun protection which the fabric provides.
• We also doubled down on testing the UPF50+ protection provided by the BUGTech+ Stretch Collection using not one, but two testing standards - which were carried out in independent labs. Both the Australian-standard AS/NZS 4399 & the USA-standard AATCC 183-2020e tests found that BUGTech+ Stretch provides high level UPF50+ protection. The AATCC 183-2020e test deemed the protection category for the BUGTech+ Stretch product fabric to be 'Excellent' in both wet and dry tests.

Wicking:

• We ensure the ultimate in cool comfort through the highly-effective wicking action of BUGTech+ product fabric. Wicking is the movement of moisture away from the skin, and it is this which creates a cooling effect.
• The wicking action of the BUGTech+ product fabric ensures that this shirt has a fast drying time.

Stretch:

• We have woven stretch fibers into the BUGTech+ product fabric for added performance and comfort.

• Top Tip: back-up the protection offered by your BUGTech® clothing by using an effective insect repellent spray or lotion.
• Please note: In very rare cases - and only in very cool and dry conditions - BUGTech+ products may show a frosted effect before you wear or wash your BUGTech+ clothing.  This is simply light refracting off the BUGTech+ product finish and it does not impact on the insect repellent efficacy nor the fabric performance. This effect will no longer exist when the item is worn or washed.
